What It’s Like At…An In-Person Power Series Weekend

There’s nothing quite like being there. A concert, a sporting event, a movie. Sure, you can watch Top Gun Maverick on your 65-inch screen with surround sound, and it’ll be great, but it’s just not the same as going to the theater, getting your popcorn, and being fully immersed in the experience with an auditorium full of people. You’ll find the same is true of our Power Series Weekend Programs. You can engage with our online training materials, you can read my book, you can work 1-1 with one of our certified IM Trainers, but there’s nothing quite like being in the room with a hundred or more like-minded people on a journey of transformation. If you’ve been thinking about attending but just haven’t managed to pull the trigger, I wanted to take a minute to just give you a little taste of what it’s like.

First of all, get ready to catch a buzz. No, really. If we could harness the energy created in the room during these weekends, we could probably power a small city. It may be the single greatest benefit of attending one of our live events. When you arrive at the venue, you'll be directed to the ballroom, and you’ll know you’ve found the right place when you stumble across a gaggle of really happy people with big, welcoming smiles on their faces. You'll be greeted by one of our certified IM Trainers or Team Members, who will welcome you to the program and hand you a worksheet. From there, you'll find your way to the registration table that's just inside the door, where more unreasonably happy people will give you your name tag and double check that you've got your worksheet. The team will answer any questions you have and welcome you to find a great seat.

There are six sessions in total – Friday evening, Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, Saturday evening, Sunday morning and Sunday afternoon. Each session lasts about 2-3 hours with a meal break in between sessions. You'll have plenty of time (about 2 hours) to eat, take a walk, get some fresh air and reflect on your experience so far. If you're at the weekend solo, and you'd like to grab a meal and meet some new friends, your Community Care Advisor can hook you up with great folks and/or invite you to an informal lunch or dinner that they're coordinating.

At the beginning of the program, we pick a space in life we'd like to uplevel and name an outcome we'd like to create in that space. Then we spend the weekend making it happen! During each session I'll introduce a concept, tool, technique or strategy, and then, using your trusty workbook, we'll map it out on paper, specific to you and what you're working on. Over the course of the weekend, in addition to interactive lectures, there will be inner training (our version of meditation), partner and/or small group work and stage work in which I ask for volunteers to join me up front and work with them directly. This might sound like an intimidating prospect, but if you want my two cents – you should volunteer. I'm only able to work with one to four or five people directly per weekend, and if I were in your spot, I'd go all in! Transformation can (and does) happen in an instant at these weekends. To be clear, when I refer to instant transformation, I’m not talking about some hocus-pocus where I snap my fingers and you’re suddenly the next Dalai Lama. Think of it more as having your eyes opened. We also call it a paradigm shift. It’s about being able to examine your life in ways that might never have occurred to you before. You’ll still have to do the work because, of course, there’s no such thing as a free lunch. Or free personal mastery, for that matter. Transformation can happen in an instant, but mastery takes time.

By the time we reach the end of the weekend, you'll be amazed at how quickly the time has flown by, and even more amazed by the relationships you’ve built and the paradigm shifts you’ve experienced. We can do in a weekend what can take a decade to achieve in therapy. No kidding, ask the therapists that are invariably in the room!

Before the weekend even arrives, you should hear from a couple of our key team members—a Community Care Advisor, whose entire job is to connect and provide exceptional care, and your Trainer Host, one of our certified IM Trainers who will serve as your point person over the weekend and who will offer you a Complimentary 1-1 session (a $150 value) after the weekend—use this session as your own personal Q&A and strategy session so you can fully leverage what you learned over the weekend!

So if you’ve been waiting for a handwritten invitation, here it is! Well, technically it’s a typewritten invitation, but you get the point. I personally invite you to join us for what will literally be a life-changing experience. Click HERE to learn more about our Power Series Weekends and sign up today!
