During this multi-day retreat, we focus on four key areas that are designed to calm the nervous system and get it back to the factory settings.
PERSPECTIVE
We all know the saying, You can’t see the forest for the trees. It really is true. We all drive in life so aggressively that it’s very challenging to be in touch with ourselves and what’s happening internally. But when we step out of life a little bit, we can gain perspective about where we actually are. Are we in a state of peace? Are we driving from a state of anxiety or overwhelm? Are we in the doing of life simply to be doing it, or are we actually moving toward an exact destination? At Reset, we create an environment that will help you view the entire forest from above.
EMOTIONAL ACCESS
Do I feel a sense of peace or serenity? Do I feel calm? Happy? A lot of people don’t have access to these emotions on a daily basis. Anxiety, panic, and fear are driving, and the only way to shut them down is to get the nervous system to relax. When we get the fight or flight response to calm down, we can access those deeper experiences. At Reset we take the time to find that optimal state of clarity about what you are driving toward. Your reason for being. Where you can experience the sense that we’re not alone in the universe and that we really are connected to something larger than ourselves. The only way to do that is to step out of the doings of life for a while, from the light pollution, and the noise pollution, and the EMF pollution, all of the frenetic energy. We get out into a place of nature, where things slow down a little bit. We use a sequence of techniques and strategies like breath work, movement techniques, focus techniques, and inner training techniques that are designed specifically to allow us to experience ourselves in ways that are seldom known or accessed. But it doesn’t happen in twenty minutes. We take three or four days to really get to the sweet spot, so to speak, which is why we call it a retreat.
EMOTIONAL RESILIENCE
Once we can access these emotions, we want to be able to maintain that state throughout our life in order for it to translate to fulfillment and a higher quality of living. I mean, we can’t just pick up and run off to retreat every time we start to feel a little stressed out. At Reset, we hone the tools that allow us to recall those states of peace and joy even during the most challenging times. Because when we can do that, then we’re free. When the world stops defining how you feel and you define who you're going to be with the world, that's true freedom. That's true empowerment. Then you can leverage those emotions and literally create whatever you want.
HEALTH AND VITALITY
The final piece is that we have to get in touch with the body in a different way. So many people are fundamentally disconnected and disassociated from their physical body, which is why their health is breaking down and why they don't feel well. It’s so common today when we’re not feeling great to just pop a pill and numb the symptoms as opposed to getting in touch with those communications from the body and learning what they mean. At Reset we learn to recognize the language of the body and how to respond accordingly so that we really access optimal health and well-being. Living a life filled with health and vitality depends on the way we're supporting and nurturing the body. There's a unique science to it that’s not hard to grasp, but if we don’t learn what to do and how to communicate with the body effectively, we're simply not going to access what’s possible.
